New York City, their elected representatives strongly plans for the legalization of gay marriage, can marry the unusual step of opening of the municipal offices on Sunday so that gay couples as soon as the law enters into force.

Town Clerk’s offices in all five boroughs will open Sunday 24 July and judges will be on hand to officiate the wedding after the couple received their marriage licenses.
The decision by city officials in New York to accelerate same-sex marriage comes as city and municipal employees across the country struggle with a kind of puzzle-programming by the fact that the first day same-sex marriage legal is caused also a day at municipal offices are usually closed. Officials in some cities and towns say they are for an increase in marriage applications from gay couples waiting to marry.
